Kurdish Bahdini / Badini Language -102
Kurdish Bahdini, also known as Badini, is a Northwestern Kurdish language spoken by the Kurdish population in various countries, primarily Iraq and Iran. It is part of the larger Northwestern Kurdish dialect group, which includes several other varieties. In addition to Iraq and Iran, Kurdish Bahdini is spoken by Kurdish communities in parts of Turkey and Syria. Despite the absence of official recognition in these countries, Kurdish Bahdini remains a vital element of the cultural and linguistic identity of the Kurdish people. Efforts are ongoing to preserve and promote the language, particularly within educational institutions and cultural organisations, emphasising its role in maintaining the rich heritage of the Kurdish community across the broader region.
